During this stage of life, it quickly dawned on me that not only would I have to fully rely upon the strength of God and His faithfulness but would also have to dig deep and find the beauty in each day. I began to believe that the key to my own happiness and joy was in being intentional in every area of my life and seeking out my passions and the things that bring me joy! It became abundantly clear that I was not a victim but, God instead, was breaking me down to build me up stronger than ever. He makes beauty from ashes! This season of life catapulted me to have this new vision and quest to take strides to live this one life well no matter the lot I've been given and encourage others along the way to do the same!
I believe in living with intention no matter where you are in life. I believe we can all take strides to delight in Motherhood + Home + Wellness + Adventure + Faith. In a world that is so busy, I hope you will join me to slow down, live intentionally and make the most of each day and what sets your soul on fire!
WHY “She Takes Strides”?
Stride: walk with long, decisive steps in a specified direction.//cross (an obstacle) with one long step.
The name She Takes Strides is all about intentionally taking daily steps to delight in your passions, family, faith, home and wellness. It's all about continuing to push forward, to make effort to live a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle and living life abundantly with those around you.
Each day we choose how we spend this precious gift of life and how we choose to think, work, live, heal and serve. Let us run this race well and take strides each and every day to be the women God has called us to be for His glory, for our families and our communities. Our roles as mothers is a beautiful gift. May we not run weary but instead take strides to grow in our relationship with the Lord and pour into ourselves so we can further pour into those around us. Let us delight in motherhood. Let us take strides to delight in the race God has called us to run.
"And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us and fixing our eyes on Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." -Hebrews 12: 1-2
